The Starters: Miguel Gonzalez vs. Freddy Garcia
The Orioles head up to New York for a three game series against the division leading Yankees. Currently, the Orioles are in second place of the division but are still 7.5 games behind the Yankees. The Orioles have on the mound for the first game, Miguel Gonzalez. Gonzalez got rocked in his last start which was against the Rays. He gave up 7 runs and didn’t even get out of the 2nd inning. He will have to pitch much better this time around for the Orioles to win. The Yankees have Freddy Garcia on the mound in this one. After being in the bullpen for most of the year, Garcia has been pitching well in his last five starts. He hasn’t done anything special but he doesn’t have to with this Yankees lineup. I think that the Orioles will win game 1, 3-2.
