Heat at Thunder Game 2 Pick

The Heat are squaring off against the Thunder once again tonight at 9 PM with the entire basketball world watching. I’ll be rooting for the Heat mainly because I want it to be a good series and I think the Thunder are the better team who also has home court advantage. First off I have been going back and forth with this issue for a while and that is if I think that LBJ should guard KD for the whole game like KD does for LeBron. To begin with it is easier for KD to guard Lebron for an entire game because he has the 2nd best shot blocker (behind Howard) in the league standing lurking behind him. But the main problem here is that Lebron is basically asked to do everything. People are asking him to guard the best scorer in the league for 45 minutes than on the offensive side score 30 points a game for yourself but you also have to get your teammates involved and dish out 10 assists a game. Like this dude is an amazing player and a great athlete but he is not a machine. It’s really tiring to guard a great player for a length of time and then to have to be the cog of the offense is just asking too much of one guy. If I were the Heat I would have Battier guard KD for the 1st 3 quarters than in the 4th when Durant loves to turn it on put LBJ on him. There is something to be said for being the man and wanting to stop the other team’s best player. I just say let him do it in the 4th quarter when it counts and now wear him out the other 3. Though as a fan I would love to see those 2 go at it for 4 quarters.

Eddie’s NBA Finals Preview and Pick

Well we finally got what we as NBA fans have been waiting for all season and that is the two best teams and the two best players in the league going head to head for the championship. The Heat’s big 3 are about 5 years older on average than the Thunder’s big 3 so as Skip Bayless said it could almost be like a passing of the torch but the Heat never really had the torch. I think this is the best matchup NBA fans could have hoped for just because I really do think these are the best two teams in the league right now and it is just story line galore. Here is what I am looking forward to in this series:
