The Terps lost today to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets by a score of 63-61. This is their worst loss of the season in my opinion, as GT is terrible and missing their best player in Glen Rice Jr. Not only that but this was an away game that hardly seemed like one, for whatever reason the game was played in the Atlanta Hawks home arena and the home court presence barely seemed noticeable, at least on television. Stoglin had another tough game shooting 5-17. Basically if he shoots poorly, we automatically become a poor team because we rely so heavily on him on the offensive side. While he can keep us in games against anybody, if he is shooting poorly we can also lose to anybody as well. This was an extremely disappointing game for the Terps as they were just coming off their best win of the season vs Miami on Tuesday. While I predicted the Terps to win, I was definitely worried about them having a let down against such a bad team after such a good win like I mentioned in my preview. While this team has definitely overachieved this season, this is probably the most disappointing loss of the season.

Maryland vs. Georgia Tech
Coming off a big home win versus Miami, Maryland looks to continue their winning ways against Georgia Tech. The Terps have not win two in a row since the middle of January. The Yellow Jackets are without their leading scorer Glen Rice Jr. who is currently suspended. One player to look out for on Tech is Sophmore forward Kammeon Holsey who has had 30 points over the last two games. This could be an ugly game with both team ranking in the three hundreds in assists. For the Terps, Mychal Parker has been playing well as of late and I think his athleticism will make a big difference in this game. I expect Maryland to put the clamps down defensively and to pull away early for a 65 to 49 win.

Today the Terps visit the rambling wreck from Georgia tech in a ACC battle. The Yellow Jackets are pretty terrible though, they are last place in the ACC with a 2-11 record and a 9-18 record overall. They are without probably their best player in Glen Rice Jr. who has been suspended indefinitely for disciplinary reasons. Maryland on the other hand is actually playing their best ball of the season and should definitely win this game. I am a little worried about our mindset and being too confident because we don’t have the talent to overlook anybody.
