Organized team activities started today for the Redkins (OTA’s) and so far the biggest news of the day was near the end of practice when Cornerback Brandyn Thompson ran into head coach Mike Shanahan and predictably Shanny took the brunt of the blow as it took him several minutes to get up. The collision occurred during a full squad scrimmage with Thompson guarding Pierre Garcon. Shanny ended up being okay but apparently he wasn’t in any condition to talk to the media after the practice. At the very least I am sure the young Thompson realizes now that he should have his bags packed and be ready for the next plane ride out of D.C. after running over your head coach.  Read more...
