A couple of years ago me and my good friend Lee would get into many a argument regarding the future of Andray Blatche. I would argue that Blatche was a stat sheet filler, who just produced empty stats, was a selfish player who cared much more about how he individually performed, didn’t understand what it took to win in the NBA, played lack luster defense, and really just how much I didn’t like him being a part of the Wizards organization. Lee on the other hand argued how Andray really showed potential and had the talent to one day be a good player for a good team. While I did believe he had the talent to be a good player on a good team, it was clear to me that he had nowhere near the wherewithal to become the player that he was capable of being. I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but at least for his tenure as a Wizard, he certainly didn’t play up to his abilities. 2 years later we all find out the real truth about Andray Blatche and now the Wizards have amnestied him meaning that he is pretty much cut from the team but will still be paid in full.

Ernie Grunfeld Returns
Earlier today Eddie sent me the worst tweet I have ever received. I am absolutely devastated. It has made conjuring up willpower to write this post almost impossible. As a Wizards fan I have never felt more defeated. His tweet…
Ughhhhhhhhh. What? Seriously? I don’t know if I’m more upset by this news or the realization that I have chosen the wrong career path. There is no career you could choose that provides the number of chances Grunfeld has received despite continuous failure. At the height of his tenure as the Wizards head decision maker his performance would have best been described at mediocre. That was at his height, for the most part his results have been far below average. He is a horrendous evaluator of player talent and production, he has a history of grand delusion when assessing his decisions, and as a result his teams tend to lose many, many games.
Wizards Cap Situation for 2012 and Beyond
As another disappointing season comes to an end for the Wizards, it is time to look forward to look for a cure to our current woes. With a little bit of cap magic and wise moves, Washington may be able to conjure a future that contains something other than bleak hopelessness. Below I have listed the salary amounts for the Wizards in 2012 according to sham sports and some of my own additions.

Wizards at Heat
Where: American Airlines Arena
When: 7:30
TV: CSN
The Big 3 will be hosting the Wizards tonight in south beach. Although, I wouldn’t expect to see much from the big 3 tonight, as they will probably be resting most of the game. In the last eight games Wade has played in only the four that have been against playoff opponents. Even without him, the Heat are hot right now and they are on a five game win streak. As for the Wizards, Nene will be expected to play tonight after he came back from his injury in the Wizards last game. Booker, on the other hand is not expected to play. Also, it was announced that Andray Blatche will miss the rest of the season for conditioning. I do not really understand how you miss the rest of the year for conditioning if he won’t ever play for us again, most likely. I think that the Heat will win tonight, despite resting their stars, 101-87.
Andray Blatche Likely Out for Year
I have read multiple reports over the last day saying that Andray Blatche is likely finished for the season. This isn’t really that big of news being that there are only four games left but there aren’t many times where I get to write news as joyous as this so I have to take advantage of the opportunity. When he was deactivated about a month ago due to conditioning I had predicted that it was probably the last we would see of Blatche in a Wizards uniform (thankfully) and it looks like I was correct. I don’t hate the man or anything, in fact I don’t even know him but the way he plays basketball at the NBA level and his overall general attitude that he seems to portray to the game and his teammates is not something we need on the Wizards anymore. The easy move this off-season is to amnesty Blatche which would get him off the Wizards and off of our salary cap. Leonsis will still have to pay him to play for another team which will be a bummer but it will be worth it for the Wizards in terms of cap relief and addition by subtraction.

John Wall: B+
John started off the year poorly and was being ripped by the sports world. Then in the second half of the year he has been playing great. His field goal percentage is better than it was last year, and his points have gone up, as well as his rebounding. The reason John Wall is getting a B+ is because of his shooting and assists. He is 3 for 36 on three-pointers this season, last year he was 34-115. Although he was not shooting well last year, 29% is much better than .083%. His assists have gone down this year too, from 8 apg to 7.7 apg. All in all Wall has had a pretty good season and will hopefully improve even more next season. His best game was against the Rockets in January. He had 38 points and 8 assists, along with 6 rebounds.
