Reports have been going around that Terps QB CJ Brown got hurt in a non-contact injury in practice has been ruled out for the season. Apparently Edsall is going to talk about it in  press conference soon so we will update this post then but I have heard from multiple sources that this is true. Obviously this is a huge blow for the Terps who are already down a ton of players from all the Edsall transfers and Brown was actually solid for him when he came in for Danny O’Brien. Not only that but he was only a sophomore so he had plenty of room to grow. I mean I’m sure that he will still be back next season and have the same amount of years of eligibility left but this is just a huge loss for this year. Strangely enough, Coach Edsall just announced yesterday that freshman Perry Hills was their official backup to Brown and while nobody really cared that much then, it’s a huge deal now. However like I said he is just a freshman and was a 3 star so it’s not like he is a big stud or anything but we’ll just have to see how he does. I’ll probably come out with an impact on the season post once this becomes official but if it is true then this is going to be a loooooong season for the Turtles.  Read more...
