Mariners Felix Hernandez Pitches Perfect Game

Today the Mariners phenom Felix Hernandez delived a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays. While the Rays lineup isn’t especially impressive, it’s still quite an amazing feat as it is only the 22nd in major league history and 2nd of the year (Phillip Humber had the other). Hernandez only needed 113 pitches to accomplish the feat and stuck out 12 in the process. From the O’s perspective this is also good because we are tied with the Rays for the wildcard lead and anytime they lose to a team as bad as the Mariners, it’s always a net game for us. I guess that’s why the call him the King.
