GAME 1

The Starters: Chris Tillman vs. Scott Diamond
The Orioles are going to Minnesota for a four game series game against the Twins. The O’s faced the Twins in the first series of the season and swept them. In an attempt to do that again, the Orioles have Chris Tillman on the mound in the first game. Tillman has only started one game this year, and it was a gem. He went 8.1 innigs and didn’t give up any earned runs. Hopefully he will be able to have the same success this start. The Tins, have Scott Diamond on the mound. Although you may not have heard of him, he has been having a great year. He hasn’t had a really bad start yet, his record is 7-3, and he has an ERA of 2.62. He has not yet faced this Oriole team this year. I think that the Twins will win game one, 5-3.
GAME 2
When: 8:10
The Starters: Zach Britton vs. Samuel Deduno
The Orioles have Zach Britton on the mound in this one. This is Brittons first MLB appearance of the year. Briton was hurt at the beginning if the season, and has been making rehab starts in Bowie and Norfolk. He wasn’t doing great at Norfolk, but due to Hammel’s injury, he will get his chance. As for the Twins, they have Samuel Deduno on the mound. This will be Deduno’s second start of the year. In his first start, he went for 5.1 innings and gave up 3 earned runs. That was against the Rangers, it is hard to tell what he can do after just one MLB start. He is already 29 years old and has only pitched 11 innings. I think that the Orioles will win this one, 7-3.
GAME 3
When: 8:10
The Starters: TBA vs. Fransisco Liriano
The Orioles don’t yet know who the starter will be for this game. This would be the spot where Hammel is pitching, but he is hurt. They could always bring up Matusz, Arrieta, or Hunter, but I think that is unlikley. I think the most likley candidate is Steve Johnson., who made his major league debut in relief last night against the Tigers. The Twins on the other hand, know that their starter is going to be Fransisco Liriano. Liriano has ahd a disapointing year so far. He is 3-8 with a 4,93 ERA. Liriano had a terrible start to the year then got sent to the bullpen. He has pitched a little bit better after he became a starter again. I think that the Twins will win this one, 8-4.
GAME 4
When: 1:10
The Starters:We-Yin Chen vs. Cole De Vries
For the final game of this four game series, the O’s have Wei-Yin Chen taking the hill. Chen notched a quality start Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with five strikeouts. He was facing the Tigers, in that start, which was a very good bounce back game for him. Chen will try to keep pitching well in this one, he is the only Oriole pitcher to stay in the rotation this whole year. The Twins have Cole De Vries on the mound. De Vries had a bad outing in his last start giving up 7 runs in just 5.1 innings pitched against the Athletics. I think that the Orioles will win this game, 7-5.
