Celtics at Heat Game 5 Prediction

Boston Celtics at Miami Heat

Game 5 Eastern Conference Finals

8:30 PM EST, ESPN

Heat by 7.5

Well for anybody who as read my last 2 predictions (had the Heat winning both) for this series there are only a few reasons you could possibly be reading this one: 1. Your trying to find the team you want to bet against and are using my pick as that barometer. 2. You figure that I am due for a correct pick. 3. You are in need of a good laugh. The last one is the most likely because the last 2 games of this series I was pretty convinced the Heat were going to win and take control of this series against the older and injured Celtics. Not so much. My horrible selections aside, at least this series has gotten very interesting and there is a ton of drama in this series.

With this thing tied at 2-2, it’s basically a 3 game series now which means its anybody’s ball game now. Anybody who knows me however knows that I am a stubborn man who sticks to my guns (and old pairs of shoes) till the bitter end. The same goes for this game as I am predicting the Heat to win again. This time however I am conceding that this game is pretty much going to be close either way because it doesn’t seem like either team is willing to let the other get too far ahead of take a commanding lead themselves (at least in the 4th). Obviously the biggest difference/factor in this one is the possible return of Chris Bosh who apparently is a game time decision. I am expecting him to play in limited minutes and be somewhat productive on the floor but not as much as his usual self. He will still be more effective than Turiaf or Joel Anthony so he will help the Heat but he won’t be his normal self. Even with Bosh though I am picking the Heat in a close one 94- 89.

Pick: Heat 94-89          Boston +7.5
