Dylan Bundy made his 2nd start up in high-A with the Frederick Keys last night and from what I have heard and read he was pretty dominant. He went 5 innings and gave up 3 hits and 1 run with 7 strikeouts. From a couple of different perspectives that I read about from people who were at the game: apparently 2 of the hits that were allowed were infield hits that the SS botched to a degree. Obviously it was questionable because both were given a hit but from what I heard a major league SS would make those plays. He only had one hard hit ball against him which was a single right up the middle but other than that he was barely hit at all. His final pitch count was 62 pitches through 5 so thats pretty solid, he could have gone possibly a full game with that pitch count. He actually ended up getting the loss in the game even with only giving up 1 questionable run but obviously wins and losses don’t really matter for him at this level. I am just glad to see him at least facing competition where is getting challenged now as he can get used to having runners on base and be forced to throw some of his off-speed stuff some just to gain some more confidence at least. I was cool with him getting his feet wet at Delmarva but it will be interesting to watch him move up the ladder, though I would expect him to stay at Frederick probably for the same amount of time he stayed at Delmarva.
