Well two days ago the Orioles were on the good side of history when they beat the Boston Red Sox in 17 innings and used a positional player to get the win on the mound. Unfortunately we are on the wrong side tonight as Texas Ranger slugger Josh Hamilton connected for 4 bombs tonight against the O’s. He hit home runs in the 1st, 3rd, 7th, and 8th and actually hit a ball of the wall for a double in the 5th which was only a few feet away from giving him a 5 home run night. Strangely enough all of his home runs were two run jacks with Elvis Andrus on base for all of them so he ended with 8 rbi’s. This only adds to Hamilton’s amazing season as he now has 14 home runs and is batting .406 on the year. This has feat has only been accomplished 16 times in the history of baseball and has not happened in 9 years since Carlos Delgado hit 4 home runs in a game in 2003. Truly incredible stuff.
