Game 1 Starters: Ivan Nova vs. Brian Matusz

The first time theses two teams face this season, neither team would have expected the records to be like this. The Orioles are 3-0 and the Yankees are 0-3. Brian Matusz has been disappointing throughout his career, but he has a chance to redeem himself this year. Thia will be his first start of the year. The Yankees will have Ivan Nova on the mound after having a great rookie season last year. Nick Markakis will look to stay hot in this one as he has hit 2 home runs in 3 games already. I think that the Yankees will win 8-5.

Game 2 Starters: Freddy Garcia vs. Wei-Yin Chen

This will be a big game for the Orioles because they will be sending Chen to the mound. The Orioles picked up Chen this off-season from the Japanese league, where he posted an ERA below 3.00! The 26-year-old rookie will be making his first career performance in the big leagues in this game. Nobody really knows what to expect out of him. The Yankees will send Freddy Garcia to the mound, he is their fifth starter and they don’t really expect much from him this year. I think the O’s will take this one 3-2.

Game 3 Probable Starters: CC Sabathia vs. Jake Arrieta

Both teams will be sending their aces to the mound in this one. Arrieta pitched a gem on opening day, pitching seven innings and allowed 2 hits as he got the win. It was another story for Sabathia on his opening day start. Sabathia pitched 6 innings and gave up 5 runs, and ended up getting a no-decision after Mariano Rivera blew a save. The orioles hope to get another great performance from their number one pitcher. I think that the Yankees will win 7-4.
